So I got this dasboard widget for my Happy lil mac mini sitting in the basement of the house- I can post to my blog from within dasboard. How snazzy is that?? Leo Kottke

When I think of great, and i mean GREAT guitar players, the first that comes to mind is Leo Kottke.  This man has the longest thumbs Ive ever seen, nothing like a “regular” person.  No.  He can wrap his whole thumb around the neck of a guitar and it looks natural.  WHOA.  Anyways, I have seen Leo about 5 times throughout Minnesota, some small venues, some larger, and he can really pack em in.  Ive been following him and Mike Gordon from Phish on their tour by getting the live shows- Totally awesome.  Leo and Mike are going to be playing at the State theatre (not a bad seat in there) on 11/18/2006.  I highly suggest you check it out.  It will be amazing.  Here is a link to the tickets – > www.leokottke.musictoday.com

I have been a visitor to Merlin’s site now for a while. I am TRYING to work on my GTD skills, and I think, with a little bit of practice, that I can succeed.

Ive been on the idea of hacking my life today for some reason. I feel as if i want to switch things up a litttle bit, to try to think more outside of the box, or maybe even making the box out of something else- My head has been a mess of code the last few days, I just cant seem to get away from BBEdit and Dreamweaver. I know…. Its crazy. I just cant stop. Also, I bought a mic the other day and think I want to start a vlog. Why not, I say?? I think of all of the stuff that I have thought about but my fingers havent been able to keep up with. its a pity, really… The part of it I dont really enjoy is editing. I just dont get into it. It takes so much time to snip and ship and snip everything down into some sort of managable crap. Thats all it turns into really.

Anyways, I really like Merlin’s site and think all of you (if any) will too…

Kidney In A Cooler > Deep Elem Blues > Kidney In A Cooler

http://www.archive.org/download/irjb2002-04-13.shnf/irjb2002-04-13t03_64kb.mp3

Workin’ the schedule, sufficient coolant leak

We thought we were doin’ the right thing
Well ya cannot be too picky, in Cheyenne on a Sunday
And up walked a mechanic with perpendicular teeth

Perpendicular teeth x 8

By the seventeenth hour, they pulled us up in the ‘bayg
and funky tooth started diggin down under the hood
After clearin a path to the water pump, and takin’ a four hour break,
By hour 27 we were all good, And we sailed
From little America x 8

Only 2 days later, on the way down to Deep Elum,
We broke down in Oklahoma, where the wind come behind the rain
We got towed to a town called Perry, where a woman’s car took priority
She had a Kidney In A Cooler, so two nights we had to stay so she could
Deliver the Kidney x 8

If you go down to Deep Elem, down to the gypsy tea room, tell em
Mama broke down in Perry and I’ll try to make it back soon
Oh, sweet mama, your daddy got them Deep Elem Blues
Oh, sweet mama, well your daddy got them Deep Elem Blues

Well I know I’ll be payin, for the conquest life she threw,
Unrealistic maybe, but there’s somethin I got to do, I need
A big ass bus with a satellite dish, a double-decker double wide,
What I wish, I dream of it, oh it must be true

Double Decker Double Wide x 8

It’s gonna have two ice makers, in both refrigerators, a silent but violent
generator, to run the subwoofers and the disco ball, and the escalator
up to the dance hall, On the second floor with a giant skylight, A drivin
range and jacuzzi just right, for skinny dippin right after the show,
At 80 miles an hour, it’s worth all the dough…….

Until then, I’ll stand on the corner with a sign,
Says, I will work for my Double Decker Double Wide

My Double Decker Double Wide x 8

Perpendicular Teeth, Little America, Deliver The Kidney, In my
Double Decker Double Wide x 4

Back from the dead… almost.

So, here I am, have survived my sickness so far so good. I don’t know what else to say about that, I wasn’t feeling too good, so I went to the doctor for the morning. They couldn’t really help me, but I got to see my mom, which is always nice. I still feel pretty crummy, but just NOW got Internet at the new house, so things are looking up. I’m anxious to be posting on the site again, as its been a while. I haven’t had time to really work on one thing all that much lately, been so damn busy and sick besides. bah. no good. I’m working on some brochures for a good friend, a I’ll bit of free advertising for me, as soon as I get everything set up with the design company. -Another iron in my vastly shrinking fire. I think they are sucking the heat out of it, and I’m without anything to stoke it back up into something healthy. Any thoughts?
